My Bio
I started painting with acrylics in 2009. It actually took me some time to appreciate the different mediums available, but then I started experimenting and now I would not go back to oils.
The sea has been my favourite model to beginn with and it will always hold a special place in my heart, but lately I have been moving on to other subjects and other colours and methodes.
I love photography as well, but I better leave this to others and just appreciate their work, drawing some inspiration from it. And dA is most certainly providing more inspiration as I will ever be able to transform.

Favourite genre of music: Blues rates very high, but I have an open mind

Favourite style of art: Painting , especially impressionism but everything else follows pretty close

Well, it's been a long time since I have submitted anything. The reason is simple enough: I did not manage to produce anything - or at least not anything worth mentioning and certainly not sharing.
Funnily enough I found my way back into painting after breaking the wrist of my principal hand. Being bored and frustrated I just took a painting knife with my left hand and started playing around. At the end of the day I was able to look at something I even liked.
There are a few paintings maybe worth sharing. And even if I decide they are not: who cares about limitations - I am painting again!

First painting after a long time

It's done - I have actually submitted a painting.
Honestly, I can hardly believe, that I managed to finish a painting and actually like it. And not only like it, but like it enough to submit it. ;-)
Well, there are a few more paintings to come. Moving is done, all boxes unpacked, easles and brushes are at hand. I trust I will find the time and inner inspiration to work more now. Certainly I have no intention to move again - maybe in 10 years or so.....
P.S. Actually I have uploaded 2 paintings now - I better slow down respectively get painting again or I will be running out off stuff to upload :D

Alive and painting

When my best friend asked me what is going on in my life that I have not submitted anything for ages, I realized how long it has been since I last finished a painting I found worth to be submitted.
I have been painting and although the outcome was not as I would have liked (neither in quality nor in numbers), there a few paintings I consider submitting. Well, started to consider it more correct. Most of them had been deemed as not good enough or not right by me. However, my friends don't share this opinion and slowly but surely I start to believe, that maye my work is not as basd as I think it is.
So all that it missing now are some good ph
